Squash them and hoard them until you get to a recycling place. Or, you/ a neighbor can take them to a recycling facility when someone leaves. Small cities might have recycling bins in grocery store parking lots.
They are redeemable. I think milk containers are #2’s check the bottom of the container and you will see a number inside a triangle. Then you can reference what it pays with the site above. I simple rule, if its a beverage container and its plastic. You CAN get money for it.
Take them with you when you go into town.
Cut them in half, horizontally. Use the bottom half as a planter. Use the top half as a funnel.
I agree with M C above. It actually takes more energy to recycle plastic jugs like that than to make new ones.
