@theITALIANreporter I reckon you misunderstood what I was getting at. I was talking more about the tale continuity; the serise has gone from being a gritty sneaking based shoot-’em-up about mercenaries, cloning and the futility of settling of scores to a quasi-scifi cut-em-up ninja flick featuring some of the most cliche elements of japanese pop culture. Suspension of disbelief and serise progression is a fine thing, but he’s damn near switched the genre.

@Melanth89 no they arn’t trying to rip you or the run off for money. As a developer hideo kojima is extremely excited to experiment with new types of concepts for the mg franchise and universe. That is why he is using motion controls like go and kinect. It is his ultimate dream to be able to bring precision sword play into your living room. He makes this not thinking that it is a cash cow, but an exciting new venture that he must undertake. And he likes the new technological tools.

@theITALIANreporter I’m all in favour of change. A tale needs to progress to stay appealing, or you end up with the mario franchise.

This but is completely divorced from MGS in everything but name. It’s like half the writers want to cash in one something successful and the other half just want to see how much they can get away with. At best it’s a spinoff, but it should NOT be a continuation.

    @wwtge
Solid Snake dies. Naked Snake’s tale finished in PeaceWalker…
Only main character left is Raiden… HE’s not so much of a stealth type. AND you should know that MGS is not all about stealth and crap (which is terrific BTW)… It’s about a never lasting tale. Everyone MUST know how the fuck Raiden became a badass :P

I’m sure stealth will come back and a Gamer Journalist of mine told me there WILL be some stealth in Rising though I’m not so sure about THAT… The game is awesome!!!!

  • theITALIANreporter says:

    @Melanth89 dude cool down
stop getting pissed off that the run has altered quite a lot. You cannot stop change, it happens whether you like it or not. I still like all the MG sports meeting including this one. If you despise it so much then find a new game to like. Nothing stays the same dude, things always change over time. Thats just how it is.

  • Thadocter says:

this game with the psmove will be algebraic!!

  • keashlamauricio says:

  • Intoxiqated says:

    Poor watermellon :(

  • lokoporsche14 says:

    jajajaj, thats idiotic!!!

  • Melanth89 says:

I’m beginning to mediate that Hideo Kajima is terminally worried of continuity. He’s fucked around with the main charachters, mangled the storyline into a cliched convoluted quagmire and turned what was a very respectable and engrossing sneaking game into some bastard flashy lovechild of Ninja Garden and Terrible Company.

What the fuck this has to do with the original MGS I do not know. I’m not sure I want to know. The fewer future installments I see of this franchise the better.

  • windflasher0 says:

This game should have just been called metal gear rising instead of metal gear solid rising

  • IndianShredder says:

i wonder if you can slice bologna and make sandwiches

  • gamerplayer2000 says:

lol i reckon i gonna buy it

  • SkyN1nja says:

There will be sneaking in it read the assess.
I agree with projectreality lol :)

  • dallasfmatt212 says:

Who gives a crap what the name is. It’s still going to be an awesome game. Raiden had a lot to do with Snake. MGS4. He was a terrible ass in MGS4. This game looks freaking awesome. It would still be awesome if the name was bunnies attack four. Not like the game is going to be any uncommon.

  • Projectreality1 says:

”What will you cut?” your fuckin ballz off makin this for 360 lol

  • puzoldookie says:

    Awesome…
I always wanted to cut a watermelon in a game..

  • KimYungSoo says:

@OffDaLeashTV you don’t? Oh well, we all got our uncommon opinions you know?
Who you reckon he looks like?

  • wwtge says:

this is not a metal gear -.-’ this is something else, excellent game really.. but not metal gear! i have played from metal gear 1 and i really like the game, but this one is too much diferent to has the same name.. konami it’s just obtuse -.-’

  • Ronnock says:

Honestly, who cares if it has Metal Gear Solid in the title? It is a Metal Gear Solid spin-off, after all–much like Ac!d. There may indeed be sneaking elements to the game with a focus on action, much the opposite of previous MGS titles, but one has to remember that this is a uncommon character with much uncommon approach to scenarios than Snake or Huge Boss. I for one, am looking very forwards to this game.
